I'm a little mystified by other reviewers who liked this product. I purchased 3 rolls at Home Depot. For the first roll, I simply uncoiled it and inserted it into a trench I had dug. The first problem I faced is that the material is not very flexible and it wants to keep the coiled up shape it came in. You really need 2 or more people to place it into your bedding, and my landscaping consisted of very smooth, gentle curves, nothing drastic. Also, the ends tended to curl, basically refusing to straighten up. Forcing it to straighten will result in cracks or breaking.
For the next two rolls, I thought I would get smart and unrolled the product and laid down heavy objects on each end in the hot sun to allow it to relax a bit. This only resulted in a very wavy appearance. Once installed, the waves were pronounced and the boarder leaned in and out of the bed at different points. The little spikes provided are too bendable and are not long enough to really hold it in place.
Overall, I would rate this as a poor product design. The idea is good, but the material simply won't cooperate. I returned all 3 rolls and purchased metal edging instead.
